Vael is built and looked after by one person. If you have a question, run into a bug, or have an idea for the app, write to support@vaeljournal.com. I read everything and reply as soon as I can, usually within a few days.
Do I need an account?
No. Vael works entirely without an account or sign-in. Your journal lives on your device, and it stays yours.
Where are my entries stored?
On your device by default. You can turn on optional iCloud sync to keep your journal across your devices, handled through Apple rather than any Vael server.
Can I back up or move my journal?
Yes. You can export everything as Markdown files in a ZIP and keep it wherever you like. Before moving to a new device, turn on iCloud sync or make an export so nothing gets left behind.
Is Vael free?
Vael is free to download and use, with a few optional premium features for those who want them.
